Author Spotlight & Giveaway: Manda Collins!

*Giveaway at the end of this post!*
February, 2nd, 2017
During this month long celebration, get to know a little more about the women who write the romances I fall in love with.  They have all graciously offered to give away books!  Here’s a list of fun questions I asked these awesome romance writers and their responses. Some answers were quite interesting and surprising. You’ll see! Comments and questions are welcome!

Today we have the lovely Manda Collins!

1. What genre do you write?
      Regency historical
2. Coffee or tea lover?

3. Name one thing on your bucket list.

4. Do you have pets?
       Stephen Catbert, Tuxedo (cat)
       Toast, bicolor tabby (cat)
       Tiny, gray tabby (cat)
       Charlie, Shi-tzu mix (dog)
5. When I wake up every morning I…
       Make coffee
6. Weirdest or unique thing you own.
      A fake Halloween skull.
7. Do you have any hobbies or particular skills?
I knit. I’ve been doing some paper crafts, like making a wreath out of an old ARC of one of my books. Special skill is that I can identify almost any actor (I’ve been exposed to) by voice alone. Really annoying during commercial breaks!
8. What do you hope readers will experience or gain when reading your stories?
I hope readers enjoy being along for the ride while my heroine and hero work together to solve a problem. (This is pretty much my core story.) And that a good man, a decent man, appreciates a smart, spirited woman without feeling threatened or the need to tame her.

About Manda Collins

Follow Manda’s Amazon Page for SPECIAL OFFERS!

Manda Collins spent her teen years wishing she’d been born a couple of centuries earlier, preferably in the English countryside. Time travel being what it is, she resigned herself to life with electricity and indoor plumbing, and read lots of books. An affinity for books led to a graduate degree in English, followed by another in Librarianship. By day, she works as an academic librarian at a small liberal arts college, where she teaches college students how to navigate the tangled world of academic research. A native of coastal Alabama, Manda lives in the house her mother grew up in with three cats, sometimes a dog, sometimes her sister, and more books than strictly necessary.

When scholarly Miss Ivy Wareham receives word that she’s one of four young ladies who have inherited Lady Celeste Beauchamp’s estate with a magnificent private library, she packs her trunks straightaway. Unfortunately, Lady Celeste’s nephew, the rakish Quill Beauchamp, Marquess of Kerr, is determined to interrupt her studies one way or another…

Bequeathing Beauchamp House to four bluestockings—no matter how lovely they are to look at—is a travesty, and Quill simply won’t have it. But Lady Celeste’s death is not quite as straightforward as it first seemed…and if Quill hopes to solve the mystery behind her demise, he’ll need Ivy’s help. Along the way, he is surprised to learn that bookish Ivy stirs a passion and longing that he has never known. This rogue believes he’s finally met his match—but can Quill convince clever, skeptical Ivy that his love is no fiction?
