1. What genres do you write?
2. Coffee or tea lover?
Tea all the way. I just discovered Earl Gray with Bergamot by Stash and I’m addicted. But my first love is Chai tea.
3. Name one thing on your bucket list.
Go to Scotland and visit the highlands.
4. Do you have pets?
We just adopted a cocker spaniel named Bentley (or Mr. Bentley). He’s black and white, now about 10 months old. He’s a rescue and we’re still working on the potty training but he is a love and a lot of energy. All boy, playful, nippy and wild.
5. When I wake up every morning I… wish I could go back to bed for hours. 😊 Seriously. I am not a morning person. Bentley adores mornings – the earlier the better – and when you can’t trust his potty issues, that means I’m up too. Takes me a long time to get going. So I am a zombie for a few hours in the morning, daydreaming of my bed.
6. Weirdest or unique thing you own.
Besides my extensive yarn collection? A life sized cardboard cutout of Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings movies. I found him in a Walden Books (Yes, it really was that long ago) and I begged the manager to let me have it when they were done with the display. Quite inspirational.
7. Do you have any hobbies or particular skills?
I love to knit and have spent many years on that hobby. My favorite has always been lace but, with the writing, my knitting, especially lace, has taken a back seat. Lace knitting requires a lot of concentration and devoted time and I just can’t do both many days. But I still knit sweaters, shawls, socks and other projects. It helps me relax and plot my stories.
8. What do you hope readers will experience or gain when reading your stories?
I hope my readers find a little escape in my books, a little pleasure and fun in the reading and maybe some happiness in the romance between the characters. I look for regular characters, regular life circumstances and then challenge my characters to find their happiness, challenge their view on the world.
