*Giveaway! Easy Entry! * U.S. only~Ends 9/3/17
Today’s featured writer is Romance, Wine & Chocolate guest author, Kait Ballenger! Learn some fun facts about Kait in this short Q&A.  Leave a comment on the blog for a chance to win MIDNIGHT HUNTER!

1. What genres do you write?

I write paranormal romance, but my upcoming series, the Seven Range Shifters (Aug ’18), crosses over into the cowboy romance market. It’s wolf shifters meets sexy Montana cowboys.

2. Coffee or tea lover?

Tea

3. Name one thing on your bucket list.

Just to travel more. My husband and I backpacked through Europe for a month after I sold my first series and I’ve been to ten different countries, but I would just love to just travel anywhere really. In particular, I’d love to go to plenty of places in southeast Asia. I’m also interested in touring Italy and Greece. For revisits, I’d love to go back to anywhere in Japan again and I’d also love to take another trip to Paris.

4. Do you have pets? Sookie

I have three pets. My dog, Sookie, and two cats, Elliot and Olivia.

  1. When I wake up every morning I….go get my two year old out of his crib and make him breakfast. Not very glamorous lol.

6. Weirdest or unique thing you own.IMG_1808(1)

The weirdest thing I own is a signed picture of Jerry Seinfeld photoshopped as the Tin Man from Wizard of Oz (It’s my husband’s so it’s a mutual own lol).

7. Do you have any hobbies or particular skills?

BellydancePhoto

I used to bellydance professionally before I had my son, but now I do it as a hobby. I performed Egyptian cabaret style, but now I’m trying to learn Tribal. I also enjoy scrapbooking on occasion, and of course, I love to read.

8. What do you hope readers will experience or gain when reading your stories?

I hope that readers will experience the kind of romance novel they want to come back to time and time again. I aim for dark, sexy heroes readers can fall in love with, heroines they want to root for, and a plot that keeps them on the edge of their seat. If they take anything away from my books, I’d like it to be that dark pasts and previous mistakes don’t define you and we all deserve a happily-ever-after.

Hunters of the supernatural, THE EXECUTION UNDERGROUND are an elite group tasked with protecting humanity…but can dark temptation destroy good intentions?

Occult specialist and witch hunter Dr. Shane Grey is called upon to investigate a string of crimes that bear all the hallmarks of black magic. But he can’t take on this daunting assignment for the Execution Underground alone. He’ll need the help of Vera Sanders, a witch with a dark past—and a woman who disturbs him as much as she intrigues him.

Vera is determined to ignore the dangerous chemistry between herself and Shane so she can prove her loyalty to his cause; otherwise she risks the wrath of the Execution Underground once again. If she can’t make Shane trust her, they won’t stand a chance in hell of defeating the evil that’s terrorizing their city. No easy task, considering old habits die hard…and Vera may be the very person responsible for luring Shane into a killer’s trap.

    1. That’s a hard choice! I don’t know that I could pick just one. A handful of favorites were La Sagrada Familia in Spain, Neuschwanstein in Germany, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, and the peak of Mt. Aso in Japan 😉

    1. Many of our trips have been normal travel. Only the Europe one was backpacking. I have to admit, I prefer normal travel lol. I would love to go to Scotland! I’ve never been. We did a trip to Ireland for two weeks, but that’s the closest I’ve been. Enjoy your trip! Take some amazing photos!

    1. I worked at a Iranian restaurant a short distance from where I lived called Ali Baba’s. I also performed with several professional troupes locally at various public events, would be hired for parties, and taught beginner’s level classes at a studio for a time. =)

    1. Yes, I used to be the regular performer at a local Iranian restaurant and for lots of local events. I haven’t performed in public since my son was born, but I plan on doing so again eventually. Just haven’t had the opportunity or the time since it’s not my day-job anymore.
