Often when I write a book there is a story that I didn’t have time to tell.  A person who didn’t get their happy ever after ending. Maria, Dakota’s sister in INDIGO LAKE, was that person.

I wanted to see her with her own story. The fact that she is blind is only a part of the story.  For one time, one moment, she wants to feel alive.   She sets out to make her dream come true.  In her mind she can’t see forever, but she’s daydreamed of having an affair with the kind storekeeper she talks to every week.  Since her accident she’s never felt fully alive, so she decides to give herself a gift for Christmas.  An affair with Wes Whitman.

Even if it only lasts one night, she’ll have a memory to keep. Only, he wants far more.  Wes wants forever.

  1. I’m a big fan of Jodi’s books, especially in audio, with the lovely accents from the South. They are very relaxing and bucolic, and even when “trouble” comes, you know things will work out. I recommend them to anyone who likes the South of the US or a bit of a western atmosphere.

    1. I collect them because the speak to me in a strange way. Like a link with my people from the past. I don’t know which is the oldest but my grandmother was born in a covered wagon in 1880 and I think one of my quilts came with her.

    1. Thanks for reading my stories. I feel a very special bond with my readers. If it wasn’t for my readers, I wouldn’t be writing. We travel together through the story and sometimes I write a little later into the night because I know you all are waiting. Jodi

Whats the story behind the car?? I bet its a good one.
My bucket list is mostly travel too. Also, things to see and do when I do the travel part. We take our granddaughter to either Disneyland or Walt Disney World every year. Its usually been a Christmas time. But this year, we went in August. We would like to try and go for Halloween some year. But its hard with her in school.
A Christmas Affair sounds romantic and a little racy too. haha Great cover!

    1. In 1970 I put the first mile on that car. They pulled it off the truck and let me drive it before they even cleaned it up. My husband left for the army a month later and said he wanted me to have a good car while he was gone. I put many miles driving and waiting for him to come back. When he finally did, we put 200,000 miles on it traveling. Jodi
ps. I’m heading to Mickey’s not so spooky Halloween party next week. Jodi
